Tuesday, December 20, 2016 The Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, pursuant to the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 08.02.15.12H, announces changes to the recreational fishery to implement the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Striped Bass. Effective 12:01 a.m. January 1, 2017, a person may not take or possess more than two striped bass per day from State waters of the Atlantic Ocean, its coastal bays, and their tributaries. The striped bass must be between 28 inches and 38 inches, inclusive, or greater than or equal to 44 inches. All other rules remain the same.
